We didn’t stop all weekend! Started off with a day full of our final competition at our home club. The unfortunate part of the weekend was we missed Alleta’s Baby Shower & Brendan/Barbs Engagement party! Booo. Our competition was great for most, a few weren’t so happy and one went home broken! We had a great time celebrating at our usual, Swiss Chalet. Today I woke up bright and early to go with a couple coworkers on a 2 hour trail ride. What a rush it was…so fun, but so hard and technical. I think I fell about 8 times and came home with more mud on me than anywhere else. It was a great practice for our upcoming Advenure Race in 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS!?!? I’d better get to work.
Simon, Dad & I went to visit Mom in Guelph this afternoon. We got a tour of the facility and the most important, got to spend time with her. She starts the hard work group sessions this week and has a very busy schedule. Aunt Shirl surprised her yesterday, she seemed really happy about that
We took her out to dinner to her favourite place, Swiss Chalet! (good thing we like Swiss Chalet
It was sad when I had to leave her, with the look in her eyes and her warm hug made me want to stay. She can’t wait to go home next weekend…
I haven’t made any wedding updates lately because there hasn’t been any! Except today….I finished the invitations!! I’ll put them in tomorrows mail and wait until the RSVPs come rolling in. Yay! Mail for me!
Tomorrow is “Liver Ultrasound Day” I’ll let you know how that goes…..night!

Dear Friends & Family,
I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know my Mom was admitted yesterday to Homewood Health Centre to get some much needed attention and help with her depression. It has been a rough few years for her, Dad & I, and I hope she will finally get the help she needs. She is in an inpatient program for 6 weeks -2 months in a beautiful facility, where she will be doing mostly group therapy. They will be keeping a close eye on her, helping with medications and getting her back into her daily life.
Thank you for being so caring and understanding, she couldn’t do it without you. But I think she needs us now more than ever. Unfortunately she can’t receive phone calls so I’ll give you her mailing address. Please send her your love (She always has loved mail!)

Luckily in 2 weeks she is allowed to go home for weekends. I know she is looking forward to seeing Molson already. Please let me know if you want information on visiting hours/driving directions or would like to come along with me some time.
Love always,
Nicole

Well, it certainly has been a while since we last posted here and the major change is that we are both succeeding at our wedding diets. I have lost almost 15lbs and have continuously lost weight every week for 8 weeks in a row now. Of course, the reason is that I am sticking fervently to the brown rice cleansing diet that my naturopath has me on. It calls for no wheat, no dairy and no caffeine. I have not really had a problem with the caffeine, nor actually the dairy since I found almond breeze almond milk. I can eat cornflakes since they have no wheat and I do eat a lot of protein. I have been to the doctor and he thinks I may have a hormonal imbalance of some sort so I am currently figuring out that with him. Mostly though I eat chicken, salad and fruit and it seems to be working. I did have some dairy a couple of times since my naturopath told me to reintroduce it but I got the most horrific headaches that I didn’t touch it again. I got a membership at a local gym however getting there is proving to be a real challenge. I am taking this week as a new starting point but with coaching 3x a week still it is proving difficult.
I will keep you posted on how the diet is going, I am hoping that in a couple of weeks I will be at my lightest in almost 4 years. We shall see. The big goal is to hit 250lbs as soon as possible. Like I said, I will keep you posted.
